What sets fintech apart from other sectors?

Fintech operates under significantly stricter regulations due to the sensitive nature of payment data, which demands greater security than standard. Successful transactions require collaboration between multiple providers, adding layers of complexity and increasing the risk of failures. Additionally, consumers in Fintech are often more cautious about adopting new technologies compared to other sectors, making trust and reliability critical for success.

Why is your company located in Berlin?

Our Berlin location has historical roots—we originated from REWE and leveraged a skilled team already partially based here. As Germany’s hub for tech enthusiasts, it made perfect sense to expand our office and grow the team. Berlin remains central to our vision, and we’re committed to this vibrant city.

What’s your favorite place in Berlin?

I love the Plänterwald area. It’s got this cool mix of nostalgia and mystery with the old Spreepark amusement park. The green spaces and winding paths make it such a great escape from the city, and being close to the water adds to the vibe. It’s the perfect spot to take a walk, relax, or hang out with friends—it’s just got something special.
